Keep Albany safe, free, and affordable.
Albany is home. People should feel protected, treated equally under the law, and able to stay here. City Hall should grow the city before it reaches into your utility bill.

Your rights should be protected equally under the law — not administratively infringed. Albany should be a place people can explore and make discoveries. I will not agree to monitor travel from point A to B, sell that information, or give it to law enforcement without due process.
Grow the economic base before raising household costs. Make it possible for a young person who takes a job in Albany to actually live in Albany. Build — don’t just tax.
Our schools should inspire academic excellence above basic benchmarks to move on, and they must be maintained and upgraded for the future. City Hall is a partner in that. The school board runs the schools.
Mission: Gould Serves Albany so this city stays home — people feel protected, the same laws apply to everyone, and City Hall grows the town instead of reaching into the household bill first.
Jonathan Gould was born here. He grew up in North Albany and rural east Albany — 4-H, hay bales, South Albany High, Central Linn High. He works as a security specialist and consultant with OrCal Security Consulting, and he wants to raise his family in the same town that raised him.
He is running for City Council in Ward 2A because Albany is getting too expensive, the basics are slipping, and the first answer from City Hall is too often another fee.
“I want the very best for the community that I live around, and I want the very best for Albany moving forward.”
